Annual Seminar and Awards Ceremony

Saturday 21^st November 2009

10:00am – 3:00pm 

We are proud to announce this year’s annual event which will take place at John Smeaton Leisure Centre, Crossgates, Leeds 15 in the 2-court hall.  The cost of attendance will be Adults - £15 and Juniors £12 - payable in advance  

Students will be training under the guidance of

The awards will be presented in the following categories:  

(a) Attendance – for the student who has attended the most classes this year (one for each club)

(b) Club Student of the Year – for the student who has impressed their club instructor the most with their hard work, commitment, and respect shown in the dojo (one for each club) 

If you are able to attend, please inform your instructor as soon as possible.  Please also confirm whether parents/guardians will be attending the displays and awards ceremony from 1:15pm 

Last year was the first time we held such an event and it proved to be a great success.  Those who attended, both parents and students alike, expressed the general opinion that the day was a most enjoyable event.  We do hope that you find the time to attend our seminar and award ceremony, and who knows, you/your child could end up walking away with one of our trophies.

Event Timings 

9:30am Doors open and registration 

10:00am Grandmaster Rei and training begins. Students will be separated into junior, intermediate and adult groups to be taught many different martial arts including Jujitsu, Karate, Judo, Kickboxing, Weapons and Grappling to name a few 

12:45pm LUNCH – please bring with you a packed lunch and drinks to eat within the hall 

1:15pm Parents/guardians arrive 

1:30pm Student demonstrations begin 

2:15pm Awards Ceremony for:

            Riccall – Best Attendance

  Kippax – Best Attendance

  John Smeaton – Junior Best Attendance

  John Smeaton – Adult Best Attendance

            Riccall – Student of the Year

            Kippax – Student of the Year

  John Smeaton – Junior Student of the Year

            John Smeaton – Adult Student of the Year
