I was born in Dewsbury in 1970, and now live in Gildersome, Leeds with my wife Lisa, and twin babies Evie and Ethan, born in March 2008. I come from an Irish family and have 1 brother, and 1 sister both older than me. Workwise, I am a Chartered Surveyor and have been since October 1997.

In addition to Ju Jitsu, other hobbies I have include, walking, cycling and generally being outdoors.

I started Jujitsu in June 1994 after being introduced by a work colleague, to the World Ju Jitsu Federation. I enjoyed it so much that I was hooked and in March 1998 I achieved that all important 1st Dan Black Belt. I then started training and instructing within the ASBC, and in November 2007, I took full responsibility over the Association from the previous owner.

I thoroughly enjoy what I do, and I am looking forward to many more happy years of training with my friends, colleagues and students within the association.
